We estimated around 600 visitors at our opening. This event made it difficult to monitor visitor travel using questionnaires, but we do know that many attendees arrived from the Trauermarsch, a demonstration against the severe cultural budget cuts in Berlin. At the end of the march, nGbK invited demonstrators to join us for tea and the exhibition opening. Their route led from Brandenburg Gate to Alexanderplatz.

The opening does not appear distinctly in the final carbon footprint. For mobility, the following emissions were calculated based on the travel expenses of the participants, the number of visitors counted during the entire duration of the exhibition and a coefficient derived from the travel questionnaire.

Estimation of overall emissions from visitor traffic related to the exhibition: 19156 kg CO2e

Estimation of emissions from participants: 2470,8 kg CO2
